Now, you have the basic brand knowledge, let’s move on to the 2nd part—Shopping places.
Starting w the basics: shopping malls & outlets.
There are a so many shopping malls in LA, probably more than any other places in the country. Basically, malls are a group of brand stores linking with a few department stores, such as Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, Macy’s, JC Penny, etc.
In the States, even department stores have status, hierarchy. U can kinda tell even from the looks & content of their websites.
· Barney’s New York (http://www.barneys.com/)
· Saks Fifth Avenue (http://www.saksfifthavenue.com/Entry.jsp)
· Neiman Marcus (http://www.neimanmarcus.com/)
· Bloomingdales (http://www.bloomingdales.com/)
The 2nd Tier:
· JC Penny (http://www.jcpenny.com/jcp/default.aspx)
· Macy’s (http://www.macys.com/)
· Sears (http://www.sears.com/shc/s/home_10153_12605)
